Team Information
Pasco Elite is looking for members with the ability to learn and improve previous cheer, dance, or gymnastic experience, as well as those who have never cheered before. Dedication, loyalty and commitment at Pasco Elite are the most important qualities coaches are looking for in team members and parents.

Pasco Elite teams train in all areas of cheerleading (stunts, jumps, motions, dance, cheer techniques, tumbling, and gymnastics). The training and development is very disciplined, intense, highly productive, and greatly enhances the skill of the individual and the team. Included in training and development are a key set of values that must be followed in order to maintain control of the process.

All squads are required to attend tumbling class.

All coaches are certified and have first aid training. The coaches and staff are responsible for ensuring the safety of squad members, as well as organizing and arranging schedules and events. Consideration will be given for those cheerleaders who have outside commitments, but prior arrangements must be made.

Cheerleaders will be placed on the most appropriate team and may have the opportunity to “crossover” to another team. Decisions by coaches are final and are determined for the best of the entire squad. Age is normally a factor for team placement, but there may be circumstances where ability could effect team placement. Certain teams are required to have minimum tumbling abilities. Following is an example of how divisions may be split:

Tiny: 5 years and under
Mini: 8 years and under
Youth: 11 years and under
Junior: 14 years and under
Senior: 18 years and under
Open: 18 years and over

Team Spirit
It is the purpose of Pasco Elite to promote and uphold team spirit for those we encounter, to develop good sportsmanship by example, and to support good relations in the community and between teams and squads during events. The organizational goal is to work in harmony with the team management, administration, parents, other athletic teams and sporting organizations.

Team Member
A cheerleader must support his/her team, be neatly presented, medically fit, and provide parental permission. Acceptance of a cheerleader shall be on the basis of ability, acceptance of squad rules, risks, duties & responsibilities. Cheerleaders are to have respect for instructors, parents, owners, coaches, and parent volunteers. Any cheerleader showing disrespect may, at the option of the coach, be dismissed from the squad. There are no refunds of any fees/payments/fundraising if a team member quits or is dismissed from the team.

Attendance
Attendance at practice is mandatory and all absences, for whatever reason, will be recorded. Cheerleaders who must miss practice are asked to give notice 48 hours prior to practice time. Excessive absences will not be tolerated and will lead to replacement, alternate status, or dismissal. If it is urgent that a cheerleader miss practice, he or she must explain in writing. If practice is missed due to an injury, proper documentation from a physician is required. If a cheerleader becomes ill, please call a coach or the office at (727) 849-7980.

Attitude
Team members must display a positive attitude at all times. Negative responses, lack of productivity, and disrespect will not be tolerated and will be grounds for dismissal or alternate status.

Fundraising
Fundraisers are for the cheerleader’s benefit and to help offset the cheerleader's account. Each cheerleader is expected to participate in fundraising events. Fundraising credits will be applied the following month. Statements will be provided at the monthly parent meetings. Updated statements will be provided upon request by contacting Sandi. League fundraisers may be planned during the season.
